NORTHERN LIGHTS

Following the excitement over her recording of Grieg Piano Works, selected as Grieg Society Recording of the Year and Gramophone's Editor's Choice, Ivana returns to Grieg to explore more of his solo piano repertoire, including his well-loved Holberg Suite and a selection of Slåtter and Lyric Pieces that evoke the magical Nordic landscape.

IN DANCE AND SONG

Ivana presents a programme of dance and song, commencing with Chopin's early, rustic Mazurkas, before exploring Liszt's lyrical response to the love poetry of Petrarch and finishing with Debussy's rapturous L'isle joyeuse.

CONCERT 3

ON AN OVERGROWN PATH

Ivana places Schubert and Janáček side by side, as on her debut disc 'In the mists', this time with early works of both composers. For her, there is shared sense of fragility while each bar is imbued with melody, in the music of both composers.
